Venture Capital Chasing Next Big Companies

When One On One Ads, a technology start-up in Mahwah, needed new financing, Arnon Scheflan sought out venture capital.

Arnon Scheflan, President and CEO of One On One Ads, was able to line up a $1 million investment from OmniCapital, although he admits, ‘The market is tough for venture capital’.

After starting his search in January, Scheflan, the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer, connected with OmniCapital, a Freehold-based venture capital firm. Two other venture capital firms showed serious interest, he said.

In September, OmniCapital invested $1 million in One On One Ads, which was founded in 2008 and has created a software application that small businesses could use to create their own video ads that appear on online platforms, such as news websites.
